What is Speed Friending?
Think of it like speed dating—but for friendship! You'll have a series of short, low-pressure conversations in a calm, sensory-considerate environment with others who understand and appreciate neurodivergence.
Who It's For:
This event is specifically designed for neurodivergent adults (18+) looking to make new friends, whether you’re autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or identify with another neurodivergent experience. All are welcome!
What to Expect:

🧩 How Speed Friending Works (6-Minute Conversations)
Pairing Up
Everyone will be paired with one person at a time. Don’t worry—we’ll guide the transitions and help you get settled.
6-Minute Chats
Each pair will have 6 minutes to chat. You can use conversation prompts (we’ll provide them!) or just talk freely. There’s no pressure to “click” — this is just a chance to meet new people.
Gentle Timer
A gentle sound will signal when time is up. You’ll then rotate to the next person.
Breaks are Okay
Need a moment to decompress? No problem. There’s a chill zone where you can take a break at any time.
Wrap-Up & Opt-In Connection
After several rounds, we’ll give everyone the option to write down the names of people they’d like to connect with again. We’ll help share info only with mutual matches—only if both people want to.
Friendly Reminders:
It's okay if you feel nervous—lots of us do.
You don’t have to talk about anything you’re not comfortable with.
Feel free to bring a stim toy or comfort object.
No forced mingling — just genuine, short chats at your own pace.
